Bus Company Strawberry chooses St Helens
Strawberry Bus Company, serving the Warrington, Skelmersdale and St Helens areas since November, has chosen Linkway Distribution Park as the operating base for its fleet.
The park is part of St Helens-based Suttons Transport Group and Suttons Distribution director and general manager Steve Hassall welcomed the Strawberry bus fleet, saying: “Strawberry has taken out a 12-month licence with Linkway and we are providing a parking area for its five-strong fleet of single-decker buses.”
He said the deal also includes 24/7 manned security services as well as CCTV monitoring.
Strawberry director Oliver Howarth added: “Our flexible lease with Linkway means we can grow our fleet in stages without incurring larger than necessary site costs from the outset.
“And the 24/7 security means there is nothing to worry about when the buses are not operational.”
Linkway Distribution Park is situated just off Junction Seven of the M62.
The 18-acre location is central to Strawberry’s core Line One bus routes which not only serve vital destinations such as hospitals, but also provide valuable transport links for the workforces of several employers in surrounding industrial areas.
