Blackbrook by-pass wins another national award
The Blackbrook by-pass has scooped another national award.
The project has been honoured by the CEEQUAL scheme, which assesses the environmental quality of civil engineering projects.
It scored 86.5 per cent in its assessment, putting it in the excellent category and making it the highest scoring scheme in the country.
Opened last year, the by-pass is estimated to have removed up to 20,000 vehicles a day from the centre of Haydock.
